Plot
In the distant future, nine hundred years after a global war nearly destroyed civilization, a new breed of vampire known as Methuselah has come to power and is waging war with the New Human Empire. During this time, the Roman Catholic Church has risen to become a major political and military power, protecting humanity (or "Terrans", as the Methuselah call them) from this new threat. The AX, a special ops unit of the Vatican led by Lady Caterina Sforza, handles cases involving Methuselah terrorists while strongly emphasizing peace between the two factions. Its main operative is Abel Nightroad, a Catholic priest who is also a Cruznik, a highly powerful and destructive vampire who feeds on other vampires.
