Plot
Budding entrepreneur Tom Peters moves to the sleepy little town of Jefferton, ("best known for its strip malls, buffet restaurants and run-down parks") with his wife and stepsons, hoping to make a name for himself. He presents his latest strange idea to the Mayor, who obligingly endorses them, though fairly often things don't go as planned.
History
The series is based on an Internet short Tim and Eric produced in 2002 which they posted on their website, timanderic.com, and submitted to a number of film festivals as well as many of their favorite comedians. One of them, Mr. Show co-creator Bob Odenkirk, liked it so much he collaborated with them to adapt the short into a TV series, which premiered on [adult swim] in November 2004 with Odenkirk as executive producer.
The show has polarized [adult swim] viewers since its premiere, in large part because of its limited animation technique which involves taking pictures of the cast with different expressions and running them through a Photoshop filter to make them look like mimeographs.
