Plot
Balsa is a wandering warrior and a bodyguard-for-hire, a job she has chosen to atone for a sin she committed in her past. One day she saves the life of a young prince named Chagum when his escort nearly topples off a bridge, and is later charged by his mother the Second Empress to become his bodyguard. The reason for this is because his father the Emperor has secretly ordered his assassination because of a water demon residing in his body which is thought to bring misfortune and destruction to his country.
