Plot
Orel Puppington lives in the predominantly Protestant city of Moralton, where he tries to live every minute of his life in the good Christian faith. However, Moralton's overtly religious way of life has left the people who live there miserable and jaded, and often leads Orel to try everything from drinking to crack addiction to raising the dead as means of practicing good faith.
Many have assumed that the series is a direct parody of the 1960s stop-motion cartoon Davey and Goliath, but in an interview on adultswim.com, Dino (raised in a Greek Orthodox family) states that it is more a lampoon of sitcoms from the 1950s and 60s with the added ingredient of the dangers of religious misinterpretation, and that he had always wanted to work on a stop-motion series.
