This is a list of all episodes of Death Note that premiered on [adult swim] from October 2007 to July 2008.

1 Rebirth (10/20/2007)
When disillusioned high school student Light Yagami finds a notebook in which anyone whose name is written will die, he sees an opportunity to change the world for the better. The owner of the "Death Note", the shinigami Ryuk, pays him a visit and finds him interesting.
2 Confrontation (10/27/2007)
Light's activities have made him quite popular on the Internet, and his admirers have given him the name "Kira." However, the string of heart attacks in the world's prisons has the ICPO concerned, and the world-famous detective known only as "L" has been brought in to track Kira down.
3 Dealings (11/3/2007)
A game of wits begins as L continues to decipher Kira's identity and Light keeps covering his tracks. When Ryuk learns that Light is being followed by someone in the shadows, he proposes a deal.
4 Pursuit (11/10/2007)
Light tests the scope of the Death Note's powers by experimenting on six criminals in various ways, and discovers that he has a limited control over his victims' final actions.
5 Tactics (11/17/2007)
A police task force led by Light's father, Detective Superintendent Soichiro Yagami, wants to see L face-to-face after he brings FBI agents into Japan. Meanwhile, Light has a plan to get rid of those very same agents in one fell swoop.
6 Unravelings (11/24/2007)
As L's search for Kira continues, Light visits the police station and meets a woman, the fiancé of one of the FBI men he killed, who may have incriminating evidence in the investigation of Kira.
7 Overcast (12/1/2007)
Light attempts to keep the woman from talking to the task force by writing her name in the Death Note. But when he finds out she's given him an alias, he sets out to find her real name before she reaches the police station.
8 Glare (12/8/2007)
L has narrowed his investigation of Kira down to two suspicious officers--one of them being Chief Yagami--and has hidden cameras and wiretaps set up throughout their houses. But Light, as usual, is wise to his plan.
9 Encounter (12/15/2007)
L is suspicious of Light's behavior on his surveillance tapes, and decides to investigate further by enrolling in the same university as him. What will Light do when L reveals himself to him in person?
10 Doubt (12/22/2007)
L grows increasingly suspicious of Light as he invites him to join in the investigation of Kira. But just then, Soichiro suffers a sudden heart attack!
11 Assault (1/5/2008)
After some ominous tapes are sent to a local TV station, news anchors and commentators who express doubts over Kira die of heart attacks one after another. L questions the motives behind these recent killings and concludes that they were not planned by the original Kira. Is there a second Kira?
12 Love (1/12/2008)
With a second Kira now at large, Light accepts L's invitation to join the task force so he can help hunt down the copycat and avert suspicion toward himself. When he is asked to impersonate the real Kira to make contact with the fake--a young model named Misa--he is startled to learn that she has a power he doesn't have.
13 Confession (1/19/2008)
Light travels to Aoyama to learn the identity of the second Kira...but Misa finds him first with the help of her Shinigami eyes and pays him a visit.
14 Friend (1/26/2008)
After Light and Misa exchange Death Notes and meet each other's Shinigamis, Misa's affection for Light leaves him with no choice but to incorporate her in his plan to eliminate L and the task force. But when she tells him how a Shinigami can die, he comes up with an idea.
15 Wager (2/2/2008)
Light plans to have Rem kill L by using Misa's Shinigami eyes to learn his real name. His plan backfires after L produces evidence that Misa is the second Kira. Now in police custody, Misa makes a sacrifice to protect Light.
16 Decision (2/9/2008)
L interrogates Misa again, but gets nothing out of her since all of her memories involving the Death Note have been erased. Light is forced to turn himself in as Kira to rescue her, after which the killings stop...but not for too long.
17 Execution (2/16/2008)
After fifty days of confinement, Light and Misa are released. But a suspicious L is not about to let them off scot-free...and Soichiro may see to it personally.
18 Ally (2/23/2008)
With Light and Misa's memories of the Death Note erased, a new Kira has emerged who is killing the heads of leading multinational corporations. Light and L set aside their differences to investigate this new string of murders, which are seemingly tied to an organization known as the Yotsuba Group.
19 Matsuda (3/1/2008)
Tired of just playing the part of Misa's manager and wanting to prove himself to the task force, detective Matsuda sneaks inside the Yotsuba Group headquarters to conduct his own investigation.
20 Makeshift (3/8/2008)
Through hidden cameras in the Yotsuba Group headquarters conference room, L and the others listen in on one of their board meetings and come to the conclusion that one of the executives is Kira.
21 Performance (3/15/2008)
The Yotsuba Group decide to use Misa to promote their organization, while at the same time hire an investigator to learn L's identity. When Rem hears that the new Kira has plans for Misa, he pays her a visit during her interview, and her memories of being the second Kira return.
22 Guidance (3/22/2008)
Thanks to Misa, the list of Kira suspects among the Yotsuba Group has dwindled down to one person. Armed with this new information, L formulates a plan to put Matsuda, still believed to be dead, on live TV to expose this new Kira.
23 Frenzy (3/29/2008)
Higuchi grows desperate to kill Matsuda before he identifies him as Kira on live TV, even going as far as to making the deal with Rem for the Shingami eyes, as L and the task force close in on him.
24 Revival (4/5/2008)
As Higuchi is captured and interrogated, he confesses to his use of the Death Note. Light confiscates the notebook as evidence, and then hands it to Light...
25 Silence (4/12/2008)
With his memories of the Death Note fully restored, Light puts Misa back to work killing criminals to throw L and the task force off his scent as he prepares to eliminate three of his biggest obstacles.
26 Renewal (4/19/2008)
L is dead, and with not even Rem around to protect Misa, it seems that nothing will stand in the way of the creation of Light's "perfect world". Meanwhile, the remaining members of the task force discover a transmission intended for L's successor.
27 Abduction (4/26/2008)
Five years after L's death, two new adversaries emerge to carry on the Kira investigation. One is named Near, who forms a new task force independent from L with help from the U.S. Government. The other, Mello, is not about to let him and his newly established SPK get to Kira before he does.
28 Impatience (5/3/2008)
When Mello's gang kidnaps Chief Yagami's daughter Sayu to exchange for the Death Note, Light and his task force must fly to Los Angeles to make the trade, while Near and the SPK promise their help. Will Sayu have to die to keep the Death Note from falling into criminal hands?
29 Father (5/10/2008)
Soichiro, humiliated after being forced to give up the Death Note at the risk of losing his daughter, sees a chance to redeem himself when he and the task force learn of Mello's plans to wipe out the local Mafia.
30 Justice (5/17/2008)
The United States government has announced that they will no longer oppose Kira. Meanwhile, to insure that Kira will not kill him, Mello infiltrates the SPK headquarters to retrieve a photograph of himself, and in exchange gives Near a clue about the Death Note.
31 Transfer (5/24/2008)
Suspicious that Kira is one of the members of the Japanese task force, Near contacts them and asks them for some inside information. Aizawa, himself uncertain of Light, conveys his suspicions to him.
32 Selection (5/31/2008)
Teru Mikami, a man who has believed in carrying out justice all his life, has become the newest Kira. He appoints TV newscaster Kiyomi Takada, an old college friend of Light's, as Kira's liaison to the people, which makes Aizawa even more suspicious of his task force's leader.
33 Scorn (6/7/2008)
Light pretends to interrogate Takada while his task force wiretaps him, but secretly confesses that he is Kira and asks her to help him. Near and the SPK board a plane to Japan to investigate Mikami.
34 Vigilance (6/14/2008)
Light's meetings with Kiyomi come under suspicion from the task force, while Near moves forward with his plan to expose Kira by taking Misa into custody.
35 Malice (6/21/2008)
Near and Light agree to meet face to face, each one planning to take the other down. Light give Kiyomi the order to kill Near before then--but soon after Kiyomi is abducted!
36 1.28 (6/28/2008)
As per their agreement, Light and his task force meet with Near and the SPK in an abandoned warehouse. But both sides have come prepared...
37 New World (7/5/2008)
Forty seconds have passed since Mikami began writing the names of Near, the SPK and the task force in his notebook. And now, secrets will be revealed and plans will be unraveled in the final episode.
